[Zope-Coders] 2.6 forward compatibility

I am currently working on some new features for 2.6
and I just wanted to make sure that everyone working
on 2.6 code double check that they don't reinvent
something that has already been defined in the Zope 3x
API.

Before adding new APIs, please at least glance at Zope
3x to see if something similar or quite the same is
already there.

Even if you cannot fully implement the Zope 3x version
of the API for 2.6, a forward compatible, partial
implementation would at least let us avoid having to
support two entirely different APIs in Zope 3.

Just a thought.
