I use this version of Xron on Zope 2.5.x and 2.6.x ok.
On 2.7b1, I get an error when I create a xron task.
It says that the object does not have a docstring. Neither Xron, nor the BaseRequest code checking the doc string have changed between 2.6 and 2.7.

The exception report is as follows....
