Works for me (FTP, ZMI) without problems with current Zope 2.6-HEAD... <dtml-var image> works too. Don't see any problem with this image.

Proposal: Reject this issue.

The attached image object cannot be successfuly uploaded either via FTP or via the management interface.  The resulting Image object shows a length of 352 bytes in the management interface, and 1k in an FTP listing.  The result of referencing it in an img tag is a non-renderable image.
