The patch can not be applied to the 2.5/6 tree since new
features will be only introduced for major releases.
I tried to apply the patch against the HEAD but it failed.

The attached patch provides for further improved
profile support:

  *  dynamic control of profiling via ZMI

  *  reset for profile data

Both allows to selectively analyse specific
operations for timing statistics.

The patch requires the one attached to
the collector issue "Improved profile support"
