In Zope 2.6.1 if you set a dtml method as a site access rule for a folder then it causes wierd behaviour - you get locked out of the folder altogether and the rule seems not to be executed. If you set the site access rule to be a python script all works fine. In 2.5.1 a dtml method works fine as a site access rule, so I am assuming this is a bug.
