i think this bug should be closed on the next bug day unless somebody provides evidence that it's a real bug.

this one's a year old and AFAIK ftp is working fine.
the o.p. may have had a firewall config problem (was it a natted IP? afaik it is basically impossible to run ftp on a natted IP). or he/she may not have had passive mode set.

I guess this is because since Zope2.6
you must use "passive" mode in your ftp client
I do not know if this is a bug or a feature
as I can find nothing in the CHNAGES.txt for this.

I have the following error when i try to login via ftp.
I get no filelisting, cant be the firewall
Running debian testing, i get the same error when running the debain package and when i use the "official" 2.6 package of zope.
Anyone got an idea how this could be solved?
