This is very true *but* actually requires reworking parts of the core SQL methods to fix, ie the DA can't do it alone.
Its on the back burner at this time for resource allocation reasons. However, Shai Berger may have a replacement set of SQL methods which do use binds.

The current implementation of ZOracle DA based on DCO2 does not use bind variables when issuing queries to Oracle, causing the Oracle SGA to quickly fill up and degrading performance substantially since Oracle cannot use it's SQL caching features.
This only affets the DA, since DCO2 itself uses bind variables.
