As of Oct 5 2004, I can no longer reproduce this bug. FTP access seems fine on a fresh checkout. Thanks, whoever fixed it :-)

note, it works ok on the 2_7 branch as of 6/18/04 so zope 2.7.1 should be OK.

The same client works just fine with Zope 2.7.0, but
ls and dir always fail on CVS HEAD. 
Here's Z2.log:
