 Status: Pending => Rejected

First, this collector is for the "core" Zope software; the SybaseeDA is not part of that core.

Second, the SybaseDA is *ancient*: it predates Python 2.0 and
distutils, for instance. Updating it to "modern" installation
patterns would improve its usefulness quite a bit.

Third, your error report needs a *bunch* more detail: it needs
to describe each step you took, according the the README.txt
directions, and what output you saw. It also needs to include
*full* error messages, and likely the paths / environment
variables used to get Sybase client applications to compile on
your platform.

Finally, if you need timely help with any of this, you are likely
to need a support contract: Zope Corporation might be willing to
sell support for this product, check with 'sales at zope.com'.

When I try to install SybaseDA 2.0b2 on a Suse Linux machine, I get an error from the Makefile.

The error message is "make: *** [sy_occ.o] Error 1"

I am able to install SybaseDA 2.0b2 successfully on a Redhat Linux machine.

The installation of SybaseDA on Suse is critical for zope usage by our institution.

I will appreciate getting feedback on this soon.
