Okay, looks like the place where python sorts out line endings has changed in 2.3->2.4.

This now causes problems for Zope when, for example, a ZODB-based python script is edited via FTP or WebDAV from a Windows machine.

You now get a SyntaxError from perfectly valid python.

mj suggests RestrictedPython is the place to solve this. If not, then Products.PythonScripts.PythonScript.PythonScript, at least, should get a fix.
