...doesn't show you the name of the author or the date.

Also, would it be possible to have the URLs drop the "/view" 
part?  I got to this document through the search results.  I fear 
that everything ending in "/view" might make log analysis 
difficult.

Zope.org has a lot of cruft of users who are testing zope. Testing Zope should be made quite easy, but it might be a good idea to create a demo.zope.org which is reset every week (similar to http://demo.plone.org/ ).

You simply can't ask's robots like Google to skip certain queries. You need to have a &lt;meta name="robots" value="noindex,nofollow"&gt; in the head of those pages. See http://www.robotstxt.org/wc/exclusion.html (or other pages on that site), for more information.

I think it's good to have both a login and a join link, so I'm -1 on removing the 'join' link. A person that has no account on zope.org will faster click on a join button, than on a link named login. 

It might be a good idea to change give links a title: like this:
