implement your own IUserPreferredLanguages adapter maybe? It's an
adapter on the request, you can search preferred language in the
request, in a cookie, or where you want to store the user preferred
language.

You have to add the line in configure.zcml. There is no way to skip
it. It's needed for zope.i18n.

I think you can skip i18ndude when you use grok. You should only use
z3c.recipe.i18n recipe (was lovely.recipe before) in your buildout.cfg
