I don't mind.
I have my own global-ignores in ~/.subversion/config set like this:
global-ignores = *.o *.lo *.la #*# .*.rej *.rej .*~ *~ .#* .DS_Store
*.pyc *.pyo .installed.cfg bin var parts downloads *.swp develop-eggs
fake-eggs eggs archgenxml.log *.egg-info *.mo .mr.developer.cfg
