>It is time to think about the current state of the ZDP:

>ZDP site: No new content or maintentance since May 2001

Zope Book: Dead and mostly inaccurate/outdated information,
although the general stuff could be worth reading

>(before we throw this away, I would like to make a copy :-) )

>ZQR: Still very useful. No updates since ages?

It looks like This will be moved to another site? Stephan?

>Zope FAQ/Snippets: Useful, but zopelabs.com makes a better job

ZopeLabs.com took it over I guess and thus handles it better

>Zope Internationalization Project: OK for Zope 2.2.4, but no
> work done since 9 months.

I think this project will move to EuroZope?

>What are we going to do with the ZDP site? Is it harming the reputation of
the Zope community more that it is doing >good?

Perhaps it's harming Zope at the moment. What we could do is making a new
frontpage, with the following information (links):

Old ZDP content (with warning that the data can be outdated). We could name
it the ZHistory archieves :-)
Content of ZDP which is still active.
Links to documentation sources. Like the Zope books. The books of Beehive,
the French Zope book, ...
Links to other zope documentation sites (utopia, ZopeLabs, ...)

This way when the ZDP site is contacted for information on Zope, we at least
can point the people quickly in the right direction. and thus the purpose of
the site still exists... providing quick documentation/information for Zope
users
