Before you can use an External Method from within Zope, you need
to create an External Method object in your Zope Management
Interface that "refers to" the function in the file that you
just created. Reopen your browser window and visit the Zope
Management Interface. Navigate to the Sales folder and select
*External Method* from the Add list. The Add Form for an
Exernal Method will appear. Provide an 'Id' of "SalesEM", a
'Title' of "Sales External Method", a 'Module Name' of "SalesEM"
and a 'Function Name' of "SalesEM".

I tried to "add" SalesEM, but got the following error:
The specified module, SalesEM, couldn't be found. (Also, an error occurred while attempting to render the
          standard error message.)
and this is bit a bit difficult so plz do give some examples
