When this came in, my initial reaction was "that's weird, I haven't
seen this".  A few days later I found that I did see something like this
under certan circumstances.  I've just checked in a fix to a bug that
caused what I was seeing. Maybe it fixed your problem too. Would
you mind retrying your test with a CVS checkout?
