I was just thinking about a mistake I made a while ago. I accidentally started a 2.5.0b3 ZEO client on a 2.4.3 ZEO server. Is there any way for the client to do a check to see what version the server is running before actually making any changes to the database? I can see of no reason there should be a version mismatch allowed (and if I am wrong, we can make it an overridable thing.) --andy.
