It's been that way for months and it was VERY confusing and lead me to waste
over 2 weeks trying to get it to work before finding out that it was an old
version.  Also there is no easy way to determine what the right version is
without asking on the list.

Well, the best answer is surfacing now: Zope 2.7 includes ZEO.
