There was also a "packless" BerkeleyStorage, although I think work on
the Berkeley-based storages is essentially abandoned.   At any rate, all
the advantages of using FileStorage come from its "append-only"
semantics:  if you don't want history, then you should be looking at a
different storage altogether.
