Honestly, I don't know what you're comparing it to, i.e. even later
than _what_?  Fixing ZClasses for 2.8 has been in Jim's plans as long
as I can remember (about a year now), and he works on it when he can
-- there's nothing new in the above from my POV, so "even later"
doesn't make much sense to me.
