[Zope-CMF] Dumb question! upgrade to CMF 1.1 broke permissions

Hi, sorry for the dumb question, but...

I've just got round to upgrading my webhost to CMF 1.1 (on Zope 2.3.2), and
now all my sites are asking anonymous users to login, which they didn't with
1.0 (of course I was always logged-in when testing on my production
machine... doh! there's a lesson learned!)

I've checked everything I can think of in the Security tabs and can't spot
the problem... all the root permissions are the same, and the folders have
"Acquire permission settings".

I'm braindead and desperate, can anyone give me a quick pointer as to what
changed in 1.1 security-wise that might be causing my problem?
