Hi all,

Of course, there is a conceptual error supposing that any `.py' file is a
valid script and not simpy a pice of python code.
I'm not the maintainer of the Zope Debian package (that actualy causes the
bug), so i cannot be sure of this. I suppose that the Zope init script (which
is called by any Zope product post installation script) try to compile any
python script to boost performance.

Indeed the disadvantage caused by the change of the files extension will
bring advantage not only to Debian Packageing system as i see on the tracker.

I'll try to work with the Zope Debian maintainer to get rid for this problem.
Should you change your position, we will surely appreciate.

P.S.: It's not necessary to CC me, i'm subscribed.
