Typically security and privacy concerns are the leading items with
browser stability coming in at a much smaller third, and that's not even
counting the browser population which doesn't support Javascript in the
first place (lynx, w3, etc).

ObNote: None of the browsers that lend themselves to building automated
systems (ie a script or other tool which calls a browser to automate
some action) support Javascript.
