Your discovery of the CMF is timely.  Gitte Wange has contributed
"i18n:"-based ZPT skins for CMFDefault;  Yvo Schubbe is in the process
of merging them into the head for a planned 1.4 release.

I'm not sure if you are referring to "DTML" or "DHTML" there.  For
"DTML", we have no plans to internationalize the older DTML-based skins
(patches accepted, of course :).

CMF already removes the "presentation wrapper" from the content objects
(via the "skins" tool), which makes it possible for you to replace the
templates altogether.  Adding internationalized skins builds on that
advance.
