[Zope-CMF] Newbie Question

I have put all news items in a folder called 'News'. By default this 
folder is not visible in the navigation portlet. However, when I open a 
news item in view mode (not logged in), then the news folder does appear 
in the Navigation Portlet. What can I do to avoid  this behaviour? The 
last option I want to use is to put all the news items in the root folder.
