The ZDP has changed focus some time ago to provide links to good resources
instead of writing the resources. So, basically there is noone writing
for the ZDP any more, and I am almost the only one left who uses the ZDP Site
more or less as a weblog that I use to keep track of stuff I have learned about
Zope. I wish there were more people using the ZDP as a weblog of sorts,
and that's why I want to focus on this aspect, because it is working
for me.

It would be great if all the stuff that is written for sites like ZopeNewies
and Zope Treasures could be integrated into the ZDP by syndication.

To do the weblog and syndication stuff, I would like to move the ZDP site
to a new server that allows me ssh access and do stuff that would be impossible
on a CodeIt server. I have been talking to Veikko Wünsche from lightwerk, who
would like to provide a server just for this effort, but he has been asking
whether it would be possible to get the sponsorship from DC like for current
ZDP site.

That's right. If you take a look at the ZDP portals, you will see that
I have tried to separate the Zope community into groups of user for
which I provide specialized links to the good information. This section
of the site still needs a lot of content. Maybe we can do someting like
this also for the Zope.org site ?

ok.

There are not many active ZDP people left, but I will post this message
also to the ZDP mailing list, so anyone who is interested can speak up.
(Kamon, Rik, Tom, ... ?)

I'll help on this. Anyone else ?

It would be easy to use some of the ZDP resources and go from there.
There is some good stuff on the Zope.org site as well, so it should
be no problem to set up something really fast.

I hope many of the old ZDP people will come back and join us with
their ideas after subscribing to the zope-web mailing list. The
ZDP mailing list is used no more, and so I think maybe it should
be removed ?

Best regards,
