The current zope.org site accepts both HTML and Structured Text for the Description; he new site only accepts Structured Text. Because conversion from HTML to Structured Text is messy and buggy at best, we decided to punt on that and let owners do this for themselves.

he Product in question you link to had a HTML formatted description which is now interpreted as structured text; hence the escaping of HTML.

In the "description" field there's a link that's had its < and > characters escaped so that the link doesn't show up as a link.
