LD_LIBRARY_PATH is correct.  And there doesn't seem to be an
/etc/ld.so.conf file.  Its equivalent is probably somewhere....

But I modified the start script to export LD_LIBRARY_PATH with the
correct settings, and now I no longer have problems with the reboot.
