Okay...but DT_InSV.py does not contain the string 'sequence-item'.  In
DT_In.py the only time that string exists in code is in this code snippet:

        if has_key('sort'):
            self.sort=sort=args['sort']
            if sort=='sequence-item': self.sort=''

I don't know much python but that bit of code does not seem to me to define
that bit of DTML.  Maybe 'sequence-item' is a special case...

Anyway...I willing to leave it at that because I don't know my way around the
source code.  I was just curious.  Strange voodoo magic :-)
