Looks like you might need to link with libm (math libs)

Try
ld -G _mysqlmodule.o  -L/usr/local/mysql/lib -lmysqlclient -lm \
-o _mysqlmodule.so

It's also possible that you've done something like build the mysql 
lib with gcc, and are linking with cc, or something... Solaris can
be annoying that way.
