[Zope] cannot access articles in Squisdot

Hi, I'm running squishdot 0.4.0 on zope 2.1.6 
on a system running linux rh 5.2
and I'm experiencing some problem:

when I try to open the main page index_html
I get this error:


Error Type: AttributeError
Error Value: 'string' object has no attribute '__basicnew__'


and on the console running zope
2000-09-14T14:20:37 ERROR(200) ZODB Couldn't load state for '\000\000\000\000\000\001[i'

In the manage I've tried to 'Recatalog all posting' 
getting the same error above;

I dont know how to solve this problem...

before reinstalling everything, there's a way to
extract the postings?
