[Zope] Newbie -- using DTML methods from ZPT

Hi all

I am trying to call a dtml-method document to create a tree object from a
page template. Unfortunately all it does is print some static text included
in the method and does not display the tree.

I am using: 
    <span tal:content="structure here/tree3">method tree3</span>

Is this the right syntax or am I completely missing the boat here.
