Mike,

I have tried every web log system for zope and zope/cmf combination.
Squishdot is descent (But does not work with the new zope yet).
Swishdot is what squishdot will become (when is impossible to tell).
I would say that squishdot is probably the best out of the zope
systems, but it is extremely lacking. If you want to see
implementation of it you can take a look at their site. I think it is
a descent system but it is lacking a lot.

If you are using CMF then you could use plone. Plone is a good system
but there is no real weblog, just news submissions and it will be
impossible to use for anyone who is less then advanced level.

So after looking at everything I am putting out a new site (Jan 1
release date) and then converting the other one I run on squishdot to
Geeklog - http://geeklog.sourceforge.net/. I think that it is the
most robust system of any that I have seen and looked at with a lot
of plugins. What I am planning on doing is using it for the weblog
portion while using a zope back end for the other things on the site.
It is pretty simple to do if you are using apache proxy based where
you can set rewrite rules. If you have any further questions let me
know!
