No, it's not a drop-in replacement, but it's much easier to get it to do exactly 
what you want. In your case, You'd need to:

1. Add your DB connection
2. Add your SUF
3. Write one ZSQL method
4. Add a CookieCrumbler* object to enable cookie authentication.
5. Customise your login form.
