[Zope] ZEO "Testing Connection" Delay is killing me!

Sorry, I forgot to mention that this problem existed well before upgrading to RH 9. It's 
just gotten to the point that I'm really getting irritated.

I think it's a ZEO 2.0 specific issue (also, I'm using Zope 2.6.0 but it might have also 
happend with 2.5.1)
