[Zope] zope - ssl - with m2crypto windows help!

I was wondering if anyone has managed to build m2crypto for zope on 
windows. I can install and run all the prerequisites (mingw, swig, 
openssl). However, the build (python setup.py -cmingw) step always 
results in an error such as:

fu000001.o(.idata$3+0xc): undefined reference to 'libssl32_a_iname'
....
....
nmth000002.0(.idata$4+0x0): undefined reference to 
'_nm_SSL_SESSION_get_timeout'
etc

How would I go about debugging this? Have I posted in the wrong place?
