You are apparently missing the port number in the VirtualHostBase.
Try:
RewriteRule ^/(.*)
http://www.myzopesite.org:8080/VirtualHostBase/http/www.myzopesite.org:80/myzopesite/VirtualHostRoot/$1 [P,L]
