Your question normally deserves the standard "ask the plone list" 
response.  But in fact I am recently interested in Caching - not for 
plone but for zope, and how to think about the various objects we might 
cache and what the rules of thumb are.  

It would be good to hear from people that have crossed this bridge and 
have something to say.
