[Zope3-dev] Configuration system

I've wandered into the configuration system, and feel a little like
I'm in a maze of twisty little passages, all subtly different.

Is there an overview of the meta-configuaration and configuration
system anywhere?  (I searched dev.zope.org, but if it's there I couldn't
figure out where).

And would anyone mind if I refactored ConfigurationDirectiveInterfaces
into seperate files to conform to the style guide?
