Yeah, but it actually gets in the way, because what eventually gets
adopted by the Python core is probably not exactly the same as what
Zope uses, and then there's a naming conflict.

There was a naming registry aeons ago at NIST, but nobody used it
much.  So I'm skeptical that this will work.
