Not sure that I should prolong this discussion on zope3-dev,
so feel free to followup in private email.

It's presumably some sort of font problem, right?  Is there
some way to debug that, i.e. (as opposed to IE) checking
what font the page is trying to use.  Or the other way
'round -- what font's IE has available to it?

When I cut-and-paste the text into Word, it looks fine.
