So, under your suggestion, this would not work:

root

   Folder A
     acl_users
         Chris

   Folder B
     acl_users
         Chris



Or, did you mean that the above is allowed, but following should not be:

root

   Folder A
     acl_users
         Chris

     Folder B
       acl_users
           Chris
