And while we try not to check in anything on the main branch that
will result in a fresh checkout failing to at least start, perfection
is impossible <grin>.

If you get a startup failure on a fresh checkout, check the list
to see if it's already being worked on, and report it if not.
Such breakages are hopefully short lived.
