Hi there,
I'd like to let you all know far in advance that Infrae's planning to hold a
Zope3 'Sprintathon' here in Rotterdam in december.
Where?
Rotterdam, the Netherlands, at V2 organization, a new-media cultural
organization. We will have a big room with projector and network connections
ready for us there.
When?
December 2-6 (monday-friday). As an extra special feature the 5/6th is
'Sinterklaas', a major Dutch cultural event. :)
See here for more information about the Sint:

What's a Sprintathon?
Jim's been saying that it would be a good idea to hold a Zope3 'marathon',
which would be 2 weeks of Zope3 hacking and targetted to a specific topic.
Other features would be more preparation in advance. Now two weeks is hard
to spare from people's busy agendas, so after some discussion we developed
the concept of the 'sprintathon'. A sprintathon is 1 week (5 working days) of
Zope3 development, with significant preparation in advance. Ideally the
first sprinathon would have a followup 1-2 months afterwards with another
sprintathon. Between two sprintathons development would of course
continue (we go home with 'assignments' :).
In general a sprintathon would have less of a tutorial nature than
a plain sprint, though of course that shouldn't stop us from learning
new things.
Content management?
The focus on the sprint is content management. In the time leading up
to the sprint the participants will flesh out use cases and the
initial design for this on the mailing list and wiki, so that we can
hit the floor with our feet running at the sprintathon itself.
Who's planning to attend?
Both Jim Fulton and Steve Alexander are planning to attend. I'm planning
to attend too, obviously enough. :)
Suggestions are welcome. If you'd like to attend, please drop me an
email at faassen@infrae.com. And I'll get back to you all on the planning.
Regards,
Martijn
