... there isn't a GlobalConnectionService? Is there a reason for that? I 
would need something like that for integrating SQLObject, because the 
connection must exist prior to the class initialization (SQLObject uses 
metaclasses), so I wanted to setup the connection on startup.

May I add a GlobalConnectionService?
