This would not be a good idea until we get this figured out.

Note that I just ran the tests, including test_zeo on an up-to-date  
Ubuntu box, a Centos box, and on a Mac without failure.  There may  
not be a problem with your setup, but the error does seem to be  
unique to it, so no one else is in a position to debug it.  One  
option would be to give me a login to that box so that I can debug it.

I notice that you are running Python 2.4.4c1, which hasn't been  
released yet AFAICT. Do you get the failure with Python 2.4.3?
