I think this is a good feature to have and I implemented it in the z3c.form 
trunk and updated z3c.formui accordingly. I have found a better place to hook 
into, since the required flag is not field-specific. First I thought there 
were other CSS selectors possible, but then I saw that it was not so easy and 
the class is the obvious thing to do.
