I am working on an application part-written in Zope that makes content for a mailing system to re-distribute. The mailing system takes HTML documents with some embedded TCL. I would like to be able to generate all of this using Zope and ZPT - the problem is the embedded TCL requires characters that ZPT will not allow in attributes. How I am generating tags: click me Example of attribute I need to create: click me What actually happens: Explaination: ZPT is smart enough to know that an attribute should never contain a " (quote-mark) character, so it has tried to escape it to preserve sanity... however in this case it has done the wrong thing, I actually wanted the EXACT output of the function - no matter how bizzare it looks. Request: Could there be a modifier to tal:attributes, much like 'structure' when applied to tal:replace that prevents ZPT from escaping or otherwise fixing the data being applied to that attribute? ============================================================== From zope-web at zope.org Thu Apr 1 09:57:29 2004 From: zope-web at zope.org (Collector: NEW Zope.org (the ...) As reviewer it takes too long (20-30 seconds) to login. It takes too long (same amount) to get the list of unreviewed documents. It takes even longer to publish a single document. As normal user it often takes very long to render content that seems be uncached. The overall performance of zope.org is total mess. I would really appreciate to hear some comments on these performance issues. Despite these these complaints I see zero feedback for issues files during the last weeks. Is there really *any* person still working or supporting zope.org? If not, better declare zope.org dead and tell people to put their content somewhere else. The current site is not a good figurehead for Zope and its community. ============================================================== From zope-web at zope.org Tue Apr 13 21:01:59 2004 From: zope-web at zope.org (Collector: NEW Zope.org (the ...) CZUG.org has been existed for more than 1 year, and there are about 700 registerd users now. There are plenty of Chinese documents and other resource there. I am sure it is the best place for the Chinese Zope/Plone users.
