Thanks for your response Phil.

I just glanced over the code and see that they don't seem to be ZCatalog
aware. I had thought about creating my own class as you suggest, but in an
earlier post when I brought up wanting properties and asked if subclassing
would be a good way to go, Evan's answer didn't mention it, but did imply
that my way of sticking global define's in the top of each page was probably
the best way to go.  So, I got a little scared that there may be some
reasons to avoid making your own subclasses of a PT.

Can I ask 1) how many others using PT's have subclassed to get additional
things like properties or ZCatalog awareness.
2) What would be the downsides?

Normally, I can't think of any downside but I don't know if the fact that
ZPT is still evolving quite a bit would be a significant one or not.  I'm
designing a large site that must go live in a few months, so I don't have
time to wait for other evolutions of ZPT.  Any advice from anyone?
