[Zope-Perl] pyperl installation clue, please

Another update. This time I switched from:

 ActivePython 2.1, build 210 ActiveState

to:

 ActivePython 2.0, build 203 (ActiveState Tool Corp.)

... and this time - IT WORKS! pyperl installed w/no serious problems
and zoperl installed as well, plus I can write a very basic script
via the Zope interface.

So ... I wonder what's up with ActivePython 2.1? Too significant a set
of changes, perchance?
